Theology Campus Library is a critical partner in university learning, teaching and research activities. Our collections, facilities, services and culture represent best practice and collectively make a significant contribution to student and researcher success and enhance the University’s reputation and impact. Through the user and customer services library department, we work to ensure our library clients’ experiences are productive, relevant, efficient and rewarding. The user and client services department primary function is to support the information needs of library users both students and staff members.

Reference Services

The goal of the reference librarian is to meet the individual information needs of the user to the fullest extent possible. The reference section provides assistance and instruction with using the library, including locating materials, using the library catalogue, using computers to access information, and using basic reference sources. The reference librarian also offers assistance in identifying library materials needed to answer a question.

Reserve Section

The Reserve Section of the Theology Campus Library contains dissertations, special collections, dictionaries, and commentaries, including the Africa Bible Commentary. This section is always locked and can only be accessed by librarians or library staff to ensure the preservation and security of its valuable resources.

Circulation Services

The Theological Campus Library circulation comprises the activities around the lending of library physical books and other physical information materials to users. The library uses the KOHA management system for checking in and checking out of books. For a user to borrow a book, they need to bring their student or staff cards.
