A Subject Guide is a web page developed by library staff that focuses on a specific subject area. In any of our subject guides you may find:
Databases relevant to the subject area
Links to websites, journals and magazines
Recommended books and e-books
Career resources and professional development materials
Library contacts for a specific subject, etc.
Subject Guides are often the best place to start when beginning a new research project. RCU subject guides are accessible via the research assistance link on the library website
At the beginning of each new Semester, RCU library conducts Orientation to all new students for our patrons to get acquainted to our services and operations. These sessions will equip you with knowledge of resources and services offered in the RCU Library.
For physical books, you search on our OPAC. Go to the RCU library page and click on resources. A drop down menu will appear, then click on the OPAC link. You will be prompted to log in with your student registration number and password. Using the search button, you can search a book by Title, Author or Subject. The status of the book will be indicated with “Available”, or “On loan”. For Digital books, visit the Digital library.

Currently we do not have audio books. However, there are software systems that one can download and use to read the e-books in our digital library.

Yes we have both on campus Databases which can only be accessed when one is on campus and off Campus databases which can be access whether one is on campus or not. To access these databases, Go to the library page, click on Resources link where a dropdown menu will show. Then choose E-Resources where both Off and On- Campus journals will show.
Choose the database you want to use and click on it. In the search box, type the key words of want you want to research. Journals with content to your search will show, then you can select the journal you with information/ or a title you feel will answer your information search. From the journals, you can get full text articles, conference papers and abstracts.
NO. Not all print books have an electronic copy for purchase and not all electronic books have a print copy for purchase.
NO. Librarians are there to guide and assist you get the information resources you need for your research but they will not do the research for you.
