About e-Learning

What is e-Learning ?

Why e-Learning

Flexibility

It is flexible when issues of time and place are taken into consideration. Because it is web based, it allows learning to take place irrespective of time and location.

Reduces barriers to study for those with a job, a handicap, chronic illness, foreign students, etc. In times of COVID lockdowns, it keeps you going.

The use of e-learning provides for self-pacing which permits each student to study at his or her own pace and speed whether slow or quick. It therefore increases satisfaction and decreases stress.

Lectures can be taken any number of times unlike classroom teaching. With online learning you can access the content an unlimited number of times.

Collaboration

It provides opportunities for relations between teachers and learners through the use of discussion forums.

e-Learning also motivates students to interact with each other, as well as exchange and respect different point of views.

Real World Application of Theory

Through the use of multimedia - including chat rooms, video, and interactivity – educators can begin to see how particular educational theories can come to life in the classroom. By demonstrating specific practices through the use of video, theory can come to life.
