This is where all the physical library resources (books, journals, periodicals, dictionaries, etc.) are housed. The students can read from this room and this is the silent zone of the library.
The Senior commons is where discussions and seminars are held mainly by Lecturers, MSc, and PhD students.
This is the ICT resource center. Discussions are allowed with minimal noise. There are computers which are used for research purposes by students
Where to find books
The Physical library has a collection of had copies. These can be accessed from the RCU main Library. Users can either view the collection in the library through the OPAC: (how to access the OPAC – login to RCU main website www.rcu.ac.zw within that website there is a library link, click that link, it will take you to the library webpage. On the library webpage, click on the OPAC link and a search box will appear, then search for a book by typing either the author’s name, the book title or the subject of the book being searched.
The Digital Library
It has thousands of books. This library is virtually accessible and it houses different types of library resources. There are e-books, e-reference materials, e-journals (open access and subscription-based).
To access our digital library, visit the RCU website then the RCU library link. On the Library web page, there is a drop-down menu, click a link to the digital library named e-DURA (this is where you may find e-books and past exam papers)
To access e-journals, within that same link click on resources then choose either open access (can be accessed off-campus) OR subscription-based (accessed while on campus and require your logging credentials)
